My Music App Flutter
← Back to Projects
My Music App Flutter is the client for My Music App Server. It runs on Android and Linux and provides the normal music-player side of the setup while using the server for the library, files, history and management functions.
Playback and library
The client provides song, artist and playlist views, playback controls, queue handling, lyrics, listening history and Wrapped statistics. It also includes a Discover view backed by the server's ListenBrainz recommendations and a wishlist for tracks I may want to add later.
Offline library
The client can synchronize the server library for offline use, including audio, lyrics and thumbnails. If the server cannot be reached, it can fall back to the downloaded library. Listens made while offline are kept locally and sent to the server later when the connection is available again.
Library management
The Admin section is also a frontend for managing the server API. Songs can be added, edited or removed, lyrics can be added or changed, downloads can be started, library validation and maintenance can be triggered, and song/play data can be exported.
Platform integrations
On Android, the client supports SuperLyric for publishing synchronized lyrics. On Linux, it supports Discord Rich Presence through the local Discord IPC connection. These integrations are platform-specific and can be enabled from the app settings when available.
Server connection
The client authenticates to a configured My Music App Server and normally works directly against its API. Server-dependent pages are disabled in offline mode, while the downloaded song library remains playable. This keeps the app useful on a phone or laptop even when the home server is temporarily unreachable.
